Terms of Service
The legal terms, purchase conditions, and transaction agreements governing our services.
1. Agreement to Terms
By accessing this website, placing an order, requesting a quotation, or leasing/purchasing shipping containers from Global Invert Transport Limited, you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service. If you disagree with any part of these terms, you must not proceed with the transaction.
2. Sales, Conditions & Product Descriptions
Containers are sold in the condition specified on the product page and official invoice:
- New / One-Trip: Manufactured recently and used once for cargo transit to Southern Africa. Minimal cosmetic wear.
- Used / Cargo Worthy (CW): Structurally sound, wind and water tight, suitable for international shipping or secure storage. May have rust or minor dents.
- Custom Built / Modified: Altered for specific client use (e.g. offices, kitchens). Built to agreed architectural drafts.
3. Pricing & Currency
All base prices listed on this website are in **United States Dollars (USD)**.
Any local currency approximations (ZAR, ZMW, etc.) shown on the website are for convenience only and calculated using live exchange rates. Final billing currency and exchange rates will be fixed on the commercial Proforma Invoice at the time of quotation.
4. Quotation Validity & Order Approval
Quotations and Proforma Invoices issued by our sales team are valid only until the **Validity Date** specified in the document (typically 14 days from date of issue).
An order is only confirmed and scheduled for logistics once we receive **cleared payment in full** of the proforma value, unless a written corporate lease or credit agreement has been authorized by our finance department.
5. Delivery, Transfer of Risk & Offloading
Risk of loss or damage transfers to the customer upon delivery at the designated site or upon collection by the customer's carrier from our depot.
Unless tilt-bed or crane delivery is explicitly purchased, offloading the container from the flatbed trailer is the sole responsibility of the customer. Safe offloading requires adequate heavy machinery (cranes, container handlers, or high-capacity forklifts).
6. Limitation of Liability
Global Invert Transport Limited shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, or consequential damages (including loss of profits, cargo damage, or business interruption) arising from delays in shipping, border custom holds, or equipment failures.
